Join us for our regular once a month Thursday Kirtan community gathering and meditation.  Chant sheets are provided. Featuring Mirabai on guitar, harmonium + vocals, Ramana on tabla, Anastasi on guitar, PJ on tambura. $20 at the door

   

The natural beauty of the ocean side, sacred Native American grounds, the timeless wisdom and practices of Integral Yoga, and the power of silence will all serve to create a harmonious environment to undertake the inward journey. The silence, which is observed by all the retreat participants, shields one from external involvement, allowing the mind to go inward and be still. In this stillness, the wisdom of the heart emerges and our True Self comes into flower. The days will consist of Hatha Yoga, workshops, meditations, and evening programs with time for walks, and delicious vegetarian meals. We have kirtan artist Mirabai Warkulwiz spending the weekend with us leading chanting, Claudia Barstch leading Hatha Yoga classes, and Swami Ramananda leading workshops and meditations.   Navaratri Kirtan and Meditation Join Mirabai for her last kirtan event before she leaves for her pilgrimage to India. There will be a focus on goddess chants in celebration of Navaratri.

Kirtan and Meditation at Integral Yoga:  7pm-8:30pm Come together with the Integral Yoga community for an evening of kirtan and meditation.  Mirabai will offer call and response chants on harmonium and guitar accompanied by other guest musicians like Michael J Padilla on percussion and PJ on tambora…  Kirtan helps us to focus the mind and open the heart and clear our emotional states so we can let go of the mental gripping and drop into a deeper place of peace in the heart.  The Integral Yoga community has always been dear to Mirabai’s heart, it’s where she did her first 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training in 2004.  $15 in advance, or $20 at the door

Yoga St. John’s features yoga with live music every week.  The all levels yoga class is taught by Christopher Love, and the live music will be offered on this night by Mirabai, acoustic guitar and harmonium Kirtan chants, as well as all faith songs.  Enjoy music that inspires your practice and opens your heart.
